Want to Know More About Our Fragrances?
We do not test our solid fragrances or the ingredients used to make them on animals.
Our fragrances have been formulated with a natural base of beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter. Although we strive to use natural essential oils where possible, we do use synthetic fragrances oils that mimic the scents found in nature. For example we do not use animal derived ingredients in our formulas and therefore use synthetic alternatives such as musk and civet. You can find out if individual solid perfumes are 100% natural and organic by clicking on the ingredients section in each product description.
Our products have been made using time honoured ingredients known for their health and well-being benefits. Our products conform to IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards and have been independently assessed for safety. We do however recommend doing a skin patch test first. If you see any signs of irritation discontinue use. Our solid fragrances are not recommended for use on children, pregnant or breast feeding women.
The longevity of each solid fragrance differs. This is due to the volatility of the aromatic compounds. Top notes, the lighter and fresher scents, tend to fade the quickest whereas base notes are heavier and take a longer time to fade. Since our fragrances consist of a pure single note they will disappear more quickly than a pre-mixed bottle of perfume. We suggest blending a combination of top, middle and base notes to increase longevity.
Solid perfumes wear closer to the skin than liquid alcohol based perfumes, tending to only project to those near you. This is a characteristic of solid fragrances and makes them great for certain occasions as they are not too overpowering. Their portability makes them easy to apply and touch up too.
You can use a cotton bud/swab or makeup brush to apply the solid perfume to your skin.
Yes, we love experimenting. Our products can be used to layer with your existing lotions and spray perfume for an added twist. Our uncomplicated single note philosophy makes it easy to see if something works well together or not.
